I have been painting and illustrating since the impressionable age of 5, my first commission being the infant's school magazine cover, wherin could be found such wisdom as a horse is like an artist when it draws a cart! The rest, as they say, is confusion.

I studied at Hereford College of Art, and the Open College of the Arts, and have exhibited work and fulfilled commissions. With another hat, I have designed a number of houses and commercial buildings.

Besides many portrait and pen drawings, my work includes Book illustrations, CD and Tape covers, Stage backdrops, Calender Illustration, Stationery graphics, and Web Design and illustration.

I am concerned that potrait work particularly should not just represent the image as a technical exercise, but must also express the emotional tone, to be faithful to the vitality of the subject.
